“K2 software has reduced time and effort for our people. Travel requests are an example where K2 workflows have streamlined the process, made it more efficient and saved time.”
Paul Tregoweth, ICT Manager , Forestry SA

ForestrySA manages plantation forests in South Australia and Victoria. ForestrySA continually looks for ways to streamline its operations to save money and improve efficiencies.

“At the end of the day, we need to maximize the dividend paid to shareholders,” said Paul Tregoweth, ICT Manager, ForestrySA. “The emphasis has always been on making things efficient. Our primary motivator for using K2 is to cut down on manual handling and the inherent errors that this entails, cut down on the time it takes to work through a process, and to have better visibility and auditability into our operations.”

A few years ago, the organization used K2.net 2003 — a previous version of K2’s awardwinning workflow platform — to create workflow applications that touched nearly all its employees. Looking forward, ForestrySA wanted a system that was integrated with newer software platforms. By migrating to K2 blackpearl, ForestrySA got the integration it needed; it utilized the workflows that were already implemented, and developers could create new workflows with simpler tools and additional functionality.

ForestrySA’s conversion to K2 blackpearl was handled by Melbourne-based jEyLaBs, a K2 Partner.
